Spam celebrates 80th anniversary

A household staple, born in challenging times, Spam has gone on to become an enduring brand and a cultural icon.

The canned pork product was developed by the Hormel Foods Corporation in Minnesota. Spam quickly expanded globally, driven by its wartime use.  It has also found its own enduring place in the British diet and imagination.
