EOGAN Conference 2017: Transition in Energy History

The 8th conference of the European Oil & Gas Archives Network will be held in Paris on 1st - 2nd June. Transition in Energy History will explore a number of topics with speakers ranging from academics, archivists and historians from Europe and beyond.

Bodleian acquires Oxford shoemaker’s ledgers

The premises of Ducker & Son Ltd was an Oxford landmark until its closure in 2016. Now the Bodleian Library has acquired a run of their ledgers between 1910 and 1963. These contain the details of a number of titled and other distinguished customers, including literary figures such as JRR Tolkien and Evelyn Waugh.
