Heathrow’s 70th Anniversary

On 31st May 2016 Heathrow celebrated its official 70th anniversary with the assistance of Joanna Lumley. London Airport, as it was initially called, offered very little in the way of comforts to passengers in 1946, only duck boards to cross the muddy ground and marquees as departure lounges.
